When my dearest friend …
…whom I’ve known for over 18 years now got married, I sadly couldn’t be with her as I was travelling around the world at that time. So once I came back, I took the chance to manufacture a very special present for her: An infinity ring with 18 stones in it as this is a number very close to her heart – including her birthday, her engagement day as well as wedding date which all happened to take place on the 18th.
For each of the 18 stones I wrote down a wish for her marriage…
…every stone representing a wish as a daily reminder, inspiration & talisman:
1. Lucky stars above you,
2. Sunshine on your way,
3. Many friends to love you,
4. Joy in work and play –
5. Laughter to outweigh each care,
6. In your heart a song –
7. And gladness waiting everywhere [all your whole life long].
8. Trust in all your actions,
9. Faith in everything you do,
10. A warm & caring home for each other,
11. Shared dreams to chase after.
12. Understanding each other [or at least always trying to],
13. Loving memories [you can look back on].
14. Affection & Passion ♥
15. Shared independence,
16. Health to grow old together.
17. Tolerance.
18. Friendship [until death & beyond].
I am sharing this with you…
…because I feel we do need to hear these stories sometimes. These honest stories with happy endings.
…because I wanted to give you an insight of where I draw my inspiration from. Sometimes it is random people I see on the street and sometimes it is the ones closest to me.
…because I hope this inspires you, too. Maybe you have been feeling down lately and it lifted you up a bit or maybe it makes you (re-) connect with the ones you love.
.
So this is not just ANY ring – it‘s the one with exactly 18 stones in it, each one standing for one wish.
It‘s not just ANY number, it‘s the one that is close to her heart as many memorable things are connected to this particular number.
It‘s not just ANY occasion – it is celebrating the day she married the love of her life and every day to come from this day forward.
It‘s not just ANY engraving. It is that of her family‘s clan – remembering her that she‘ll always be a part of it.
It‘s not just ANY ring. It is THAT EXACT RING that embodies all of this and that she can carry forever now.
It‘s a memory, a feeling – something very close to her heart. It is something made for her to keep and be reminded of forever.
Love, Julia
